Longflint, Handcrafted long drinks in East London

A few weeks ago, we had the chance to meet with James Law, the founder of Longflint. They make beautiful handcrafted bottled cocktails in their space in East London.

James comes from a craft beer background, working at CRATE Brewery in Hackney Wick. After this experience, he was driven by a desire to offer people better products to drink. He realised there was a gap for a new range of drinks that would use natural ingredients and top quality spirits. James started Longflint in 2015 to provide bottled cocktails that are natural and made with the finest UK spirits, removing everything industrial that we can find in most cocktails.

"There are so many cheap and nasty sugar-loaded products that masquerade as ‘cocktails’. We wanted to go back to the drawing board and make something natural, with a craft ethos, that tasted and looked great."

James Law, Founder of Longflint

James and his team handmake their own simple syrups and herb infusions. A good example is their Hibiscus & Gin Tonic drink. They cold brew hibiscus flowers by creating over-sized tea bags from muslin cloth and steep the flowers in cold water for three hours. They combine it with their house tonic made from natural quinine and lime water. This base is then mixed with East London Liquor Company's London Dry Gin for a delicious result full of flavours and colours!

Longflint work with a range of exceptional local spirits such as Kew Garden's gin, East London Liquor Company's vodka and QuiQuiRiQui's mezcal. They also just released their drinks in a beautiful can format - easy to drink and to transport. We love it.

They have a bartering system. Their beautiful bottles are made in collaboration with artists and they are stunning!

We are very proud and excited to be offering their range of long drinks at our events! You can find more information about Longflint and what they do on their website and follow them on Instagram and Twitter.
